There are plenty of stories for us to tell and as Marissa gets older, there will be even more. There is never a dull moment in our household and that's the way we like it!

Okoboji Campus Bike Ride

This was only the second year we have done this ride. Tyson and I really enjoy riding, so were looking forward to going. Of course we recruited some friends to ride with us and we all had a great time. The day started off really nice out and we knew there was a chance of rain, but thought it would miss us. So we started out. Shortly after the first 10 miles, Alarie and I came up on Tyson and Joe pulled over. It looked like they were doing something with Tyson's bike, but they told us to keep going. We finally pulled over at 17 miles bc we were surprised they hadn't caught up yet. We waited probably 10 minutes and they did finally come. Tyson's bike had a mishap and he could only ride in the two hardest gears. Needless to say it was a tough ride for him! Then the rain came! We road the last 5-7 miles in a down pour of rain and wind. It stopped just as we were pulling into Milford, go figure. Looking back on it we laugh, bc there was nothing we could do about it but keep going. We will definitely do it again!! Such a fun ride. If anyone is ever interested, it's always the last Saturday in June and you can sign up to do 25, 50, or 100 miles. We do 25 :)

Tyson and I at the first stop which was probably 6 miles in.

Friends of ours that we talked into going. Alarie and Joe Crouch

Tyson and I after the ride. In preperation of it raining, we brought extra clothes!

This was a larger group that all rode together. My aunt Sharon (in the blue windbreaker) and my uncle Mike (in the yellow to the right of Sharon) are the ones that got Tyson and I started.
