This past weekend was my weekend off and for once we actually had stuff to do. Friday night Fairmont had their Glow Parade, which I had never been to and only heard about it because I work in Fairmont. So I thought it would be something different and fun for the kids. So, before we left to go up there, we made sure that we had everything we could think of to keep the girls warm cuz we knew that as the sun went down it was going to get colder...and it did. The parade started at 6:00pm and ended at 7:00pm. We parked right on the route so that we could just open up the back of the van and and jump in every once in a while to warm up. However, the cold didn't seem to bother the kids. Travis and Sommer met us up there too, so we were all freezing our butts off for the sake of our kids' fun. I had to laugh though because we put mittens on Hannah and she couldn't pick up the candy and eventhough she couldn't, she would try for about 3 minutes before I would send Samantha over to help her pick it up. She was determined!! The parade was a lot of Christmas lights, which was pretty neat. We had a lot of fun. Afterward we headed back to Ringsted and ate at the bar with Trav and Sommer.
Saturday night we went over to Spencer to meet up with Angie, Ryan, and Kenna. They were in town to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Irmiters. It's always good to see them. Kenna who is 4 months now has changed a ton obviously since we saw her at about 2 weeks. We met them at the AmericInn and it was actually Andy and Julie's son, Kody's, 3rd birthday so we got to see them too. Samantha and Hannah had a really good time playing with Kody. Hannah kept trying to tell him that it was her birthday and not his!
Sunday night we went out to eat with my parents, Gma Sturm, brother Sean and his "Buddy." She seemed like a very nice person, so I'm really glad that we were able to meet her.
