This is us!

My photo
There are plenty of stories for us to tell and as Marissa gets older, there will be even more. There is never a dull moment in our household and that's the way we like it!

Snapshots from our long weekend

Before the parade on Thursday in Armstrong, we headed in a couple hours early to meet Jenae (Newlin) and Shane Bradley's baby, Cece. The kids were super excited about it as you can see from the picture below. Samantha tried holding her when we first got there, but she wouldn't stop crying. Then she tried again a little later and she started crying again, so she decided to keep her distance. (That's why she's not in the picture above.)

Some friends of mine met us before the parade to sit with us. Above is a picture of their daughter, Ellie (same age as Hannah) relaxing before it starts.

The nursing home threw these out as part of their Duck Dynasty themed float. Fun for the kids, annoying for everyone else, haha.

After the parade, we headed up to my aunt and uncle's house to swim and hang out. They had so much fun. Above is Marissa, Samantha, Hannah, and their cousin, Lauren.

Yesterday morning there was a little bit of wind and we thought we'd give the kites a try. As you can see from the pictures above and below, we did get them up, however, it didn't last long. As soon as I got a couple pictures, the wind died.

Since we couldn't fly kites, we decided to ride our bikes into Ringsted. These are some pictures from our journey back from Ringsted. The kids are cooling off by dumping water on their heads. They also have towels that keep them cool once they are rinsed with warm water.
